Kazeon’s built-in Previewer is fast and dynamic. With the click of a mouse, the Previewer is refreshed to show the formatted contents of the selected search result. The interactive configu­rable Tag panel located above the Previewer panel makes docu­ment tagging quick, easy, and intuitive. Hit highlighting within the Previewer allows for the quickly locating the relevant text in the document. Also supported is native application viewing.

Analysis and Culling

The main capabilities that allow users to rapidly review vast amounts of documents are dynamic and interactive concept clusters, keyword and topic reports, and search query analy­sis. Dynamic concept clusters present key concepts closely associated with the search that is being run. Unlike previous generations of concept search, Kazeon’s concepts are dynamic and relevant to the actual search query being executed which is essential for accurate and complete eDiscovery. Keyword and topic reports provide a summary of document and email key­word frequency and case topics. Query analysis helps separate unrelevant terms from relevant terms which is especially useful for wildcard or fuzzy searches. Word expansion helps ensure that various forms of a root word or syllable are taken into account during a search.

Email Thread Analysis

Email Thread view provides superior email analytical capabili­ties for eDiscovery users trying to determine who said what to whom and when. Emails across email servers (i.e., Exchange and Domino), archives (i.e., Enterprise Vault), and PST files are threaded and presented in a chronological tree diagram that depicts the multiple levels of senders in an easy-to-understand format. Reviewers quickly see forward and reply history for all relevant email threads.

Search Results Visualization

Search Results Visualization provides graphical analysis with interactive drilldown and chart rotation. The sophisticated graphical analysis view displays the composition and distribu­tion of documents and emails returned from a search query or associated with an entire case. Reviewers narrow the collec­tion using dynamically populated filters to view the impact on the overall distribution. Direct drilldown from summary charts provides faceted navigation, while click-and-hold chart rotation allows users to view all segments of a pie chart.

Transparent Search

Transparent search removes the guesswork from search queries and shows the actual query executed by the search engine—filters and all. Search Report shows the base query and all filters that were applied including result filters, review filters, query analysis filters, and concept filters. This printable report helps the reviewer and supervisor ensure that their searches are accurate, transparent and defensible.

Report Filters

Narrow report results by specifying either a name in the text filter or specifying a numerical range. Applying the filter will sort the results and only display those matching the criteria. Several filters can be added to multiple columns for maximum flexibility. Report filters make sifting through the enormous amount of information in a legal matter much easier and narrowing results is a breeze.

Highlighted Search Snippets

Search Snippets and hit highlighting allow the reviewer to quickly understand the context of the hit and often this is enough to determine relevancy—without ever opening the document. The most relevant snippets in the document or email are highlighted and displayed directly in the search results window.

Case Management

Case-based management ensures that legal supervisors and reviewers review only what is pertinent to their case. Review­ers from outside counsel see only the information they need to see. Service providers working on multiple cases have a secure and definite separation of case documents and emails. Legal su­pervisors can easily track the progress of case review, as well as view and export custodian and data maps for meet-and-confer sessions.

In-House or External Review

Kazeon’s Analysis and Review can be used in house or remotely over the internet. Users login thru a secure login from a web browser. Depending on the user’s role, their permissions and access privileges will vary. This allows outside reviewers access to only relevant and permissible data in a highly secure manner.

Auditing and Data Verification

Kazeon’s Auditing and Data Verification capabilities provide a defensible and auditable process that ensures no spoliation of evidence.
