EMC SourceOne eDiscovery
EMC Kazeon for Legal Service Providers
The practice and management of the e-discovery process is complex and time consuming. Some organizations bring the eDiscovery process in-house, some outsource their eDiscovery to an Legal Service Provider (LSP), while others choose a hybrid approach- and use a combination of both. Many corporations rely on LSP’s to provide the expertise required during the eDiscovery process.
Companies integrate LSPs into their eDiscovery processes because they struggle to keep up with the requirements of the courts and the management of the ever increasing volume and sources of electronically stored information. This has created new and complimentary revenue opportunities for LSPs. They can now extend their service offerings behind the client firewall to address their client needs and well position themselves from an overall eDiscovery services standpoint.
To address today’s eDiscovery challenges, EMC Corporation introduces two business models to facilitate the delivery of eDiscovery services. Deployed and administered behind the client firewall they provide the following:
Backpack - The Backpack model is a mobile system designed to be deployed and managed by the LSP on an engagement basis behind the client firewall to provide Early Case Assessment, advanced culling and surgical collection. For the LSP, the Backpack model increases the LSP’s chances of securing additional services including hosed review. The corporate client gains early visibility into the case data required to make timely and informed decisions while reducing the volume of data for hosted reviewKey benefits of the Backpack model include:
Managed eDiscovery Services – This behind the firewall model combines the benefits of an in-house eDiscovery solution with the expert management (remote/on premise) provided by the LSP all on an operating expense (annual / monthly) billing basis. This model eliminates the need for companies to make a large capital investment and allocate resources to manage and maintain their eDiscovery solution. The corporate client also benefits from having a solution expertly managed on an ongoing basis by the LSP. The LSP in turn gets a recurring revenue business and the ability to uniquely position themselves to secure the downstream review of their client’s data.Benefits of the Managed eDiscovery Services Model include:
EMC recognizes that these are changing times for LSP’s and are committed to working with you to create a win-win scenario for both you and your clients. EMC has created a comprehensive Partner Enablement Program to ensure that our LSP partners are properly prepared and incented when they go to market with these service offerings.Comprehensive Suite of Solutions:
