Dynamic Concept Search is a Reality

As eDiscovery case volume has grown and electronically stored information (ESI) has increased 1000 fold, legal professionals have struggled to mine ESI in an efficient manner. Keyword was initially the obvious answer; however, keyword presumes that the legal team can discern the industry jargon and company specific lexicon to construct keyword search and identify relevant information. As legal professionals only have a priori knowledge of a limited number of case-relevant keywords and do not have a complete repertoire searchable keywords, keyword searches are no longer sufficient to meet the legal standards as data volume grows.

Kazeon introduces eDiscovery Concept Manager which delivers the needed capability for lawyers, paralegals, and case workers to mine vast amounts of extant unstructured data and narrow down the data set to a cost-effective collection of relevant documents for review by allowing search within a contextual framework. eDiscovery Concept Manager allows legal professionals to discovery the Industry Jargon used, as well as discern the Organizational Lexicon, the style in which a specific communicates.

“eDiscovery Concept Manager is a power dynamic solution which streamlines the identification of relevant data and speeds culling of non-relevant data,” says Karthik Kannan, VP of Marketing and Business Development at Kazeon. “Constructing an Organizational Lexicon with our Concept Manager is similar to obtaining secret decoder ring for a company’s communication style and that is powerful.”
